Resorts World Genting

After checking out at the hotel, we went to KL Sentral to ride our bus to Resorts World Genting.

Bus from Kuala Lumpur to RWG will take almost 1 hour. We first checked-in to our next hotel, Awana Genting Highlands

2 Queen-size Beds! woot! We got this room for only MYR170/night (P2300) also with buffet breakfast. :)

There are a lot of shopping stores and restaurants inside the Hotel.

Thank God they have Nike Outlet Store! I bought 3 Nike shoes plus 2 pairs of socks for only MYR 295 (P3900)!!!!!!! :)

After roaming around, we went back to the hotel to rest. Tomorrow will ride the rides! :) 

The Cave and The Towers: KL Day 1

Ema and I almost didn’t make it to the airport! hehe

We left Manila by 9:00 pm then We arrived Kuala Lumpur International Airport -LCCT by 12:30 am. 

We rode the budget taxi (MYR 150=P2000) which was not a budget taxi after all! haha Anyway it was late so we don’t have a choice.

Kuala Lumpur is almost 1 hour ride from the airport.

We stayed at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur. Our room was big and cozy! :)

Brunch at Mcdo Sogo Mall. I love the Spicy Chicken McDeluxe! :D

At the Bank Negara Station bound to Batu Cave.

You need to climb the 272-step stairs. It was exhausting! :))

There are a lot of Cynomolgus Monkeys along the stairs and inside the caves. Be careful because they sometimes snatch your belongings. You can give them food which you can buy at the base of the stairs.

We rode the MRT back to the city. We went to KLCC Suria Mall. We had our favorite milk tea, Gong Cha! :)

The mall was huge. They were on Sale but most were still expensive! :))

We then went to the Pavilion Mall.

We had our dinner at Din Tai Fung! Yummy fried pork and chao fan.

Back at Hotel by 10 pm. First day went great!

Tomorrow will be at Genting High lands. :)

Underground River: Puerto Princesa Day 3

We woke up 4:30 am. Had breakfast then our tour guide arrived at 6:00 am. We left the Inn by 6:30am. The travel time to Sabang port was almost 2 hours. During our trip, the tour guide gave us some interesting facts about Puerto Princesa and about the Undergound River.

Puerto Princesa Undergound River is one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Inside you can see birds, the Balinsasayaw, flying everywhere. Bats on the ceiling, rock formations and giant walls of rock. 

The tour will only take you up to 1 km of the river but the whole length is almost 8 km. 

The Monitoring Lizard or Bayawak. Scary! they are so big! O_O

We had our lunch back at Sabang port. Mae and Ema tried the woodworm or Tamilok. I didn’t try eating it. Gross. hehe

After the tour, we went back to the Inn to get our stuffs and we headed to the airport. 

Got back at Manila by 7 pm.

I enjoyed the trip and it was really fun having my 2 best friends with me. Our last vacation together was 3 years ago. Excited to be with them again.

Our next destination: El Nido. :) 

Island Hopping at Honda Bay: Puerto Princesa Day 2

I was scared holding it. hehe. They say you can’t let them out of the water for more than 10 minutes or they’ll die. 

I’m not really into swimming at the sea. But I enjoyed the clear waters in Honda Bay.

We spent all afternoon at Honda Bay then we went back to Inn to rest. 

Last day will be at the Underground River. :)

City in a Forest: Puerto Princesa Day 1

Ema, Mae and I had our vacation at the Second Largest City in the Philippines: Puerto Princesa! It’s also called the City in a Forest.

We arrived at the city by 9am. Straight to city tour! 

Our first destination was the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center. It’s also called the Crocodile Park.

This was the real skin and bones of the 17-ft crocodile who was found here. Lolong now holds the title of being the largest crocodile in the Philippines.

Next destination was the Baker’s Hill.

We had our lunch at Baker’s Kitchen.

After the city tour, we then went to our resting place: Marianne Home Inn. The place was comfy and just beside the city market.

After resting, we went to the Ihawig River to have the Firefly watching experience.

The tour was about an hour. Our boatman/tour guide/entomologist/astronomer taught us a lot. While he paddle the boat for 1 km, he will stop for a while to ‘point’ the trees or the sky. It was really an amazing tour. The trees sparkled because of the fireflies and the sky was lit with so many stars. SO FASCINATING!

After the tour we went back to the inn to rest. 

First day at PP was a blast! Excited to do Island Hopping tomorrow!

Next stop: Honda Bay.

Stars and Under the Sea: HK Day 4

Woke up 6am. Ema and I first went to the Avenue of the Stars at the Victoria Harbour.

We then rode the Hair Raiser roller coaster. It was Ema’s first rollercoaster ride. It was so much fun!

We watched the dolphin and sea lion show at the Ocean Theatre.  :)

After the last trip at the mall, we headed to the airport to wait for our trip back to the Philippines.

It was a fun trip in Hong Kong. Can’t wait to go back. More shopping next time! :)

Ruins: Macau Day 3

Woke up early so we can ride the first boat to Macau. 

We rode the Cotai Jet Boat. Cool ship.

The Peak: HK Day 1

Last week, Ema, Tita Gretchen and I went to Hong Kong, to escape the Phillipine heat. Thank God it was colder there. :)

NAIA 2 crowded with a lot of people. Escaping the ‘oven’ too. hehe

At the Hong Kong International Airport. It was a freaking huge airport!

Your best friend: The Octopus Card. You can use it to pay for your MTR, bus trip and even food. :)
